Reiki
Reiki works as a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It originated in Japan and has been around since the late 1800’s. It involves the transfer of universal positive energy for body wellness. This traditional healing modality is offered with the intent of manipulating the flow of energy through the client’s body. Worry and stress in our daily lives affects our energy centers, or chakras, and they become blocked, meaning the energy does not flow freely through our bodies. Blockages or negative energy can be experienced as a response to traumatic life experiences, stress, illness, emotional challenges and environmental factors. This can lead to feeling fatigue, brain fog, illness or just an overall feeling of being off balance. Chakras get blocked by negative energy that is unable to release from the body. During Reiki the chakras can be cleansed, aligned and balanced to promote improved health.
Unlike massage, Reiki is a gentle hands-off technique, focusing on stimulating energy flow rather than working the soft tissue and muscles. This movement of energy is done to improve mental, emotional and physical health while clearing away negative energy.
