Rae Minten

Bio

Rae was initially encouraged to try yoga by a friend who suggested that it would help improve her posture. The experience was love at first class. After 27 years of practice, yoga has come to hold a central place for her, offering guidance and support in her emotional and spiritual life as well as her physical well-being.

Wanting to share the amazing gifts of yoga, Rae completed a 200+ hour teacher’s training at Prananda Yoga in 2007 and is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. The following year, she also became a certified Pilates Mat instructor with the Pilates Method Alliance. In 2009, Rae studied with Judith Lasater to become a certified Relax and Renew® Trainer. Rae completed a 200-hour teacher’s training at One Song Yoga with Denise Payne in 2010, and in 2011 Rae studied with Paul and Suzee Grilley to become a certified Yin Yoga instructor.

Rae has continued to expanded her offering by studying healing through the use of Essential Oils with ArōmaTouch and Energetic Healing with Reiki. After studying with Bill Flocco from the American Academy of Reflexology, in Los Angeles, CA; Rae is a certified Reflexologist as of June of 2013. In July of 2014, Rae graduated from the 800-hour massage program at East West College of Massage & Healing Arts with a focus on Thai Massage.

Rae continually makes an attempt to explore and expand her understanding of the body, most recently through the lens of Traditional Thai Elemental Theory with Gretchen Hogue at Akasa Thai Healing Arts and Nephyr Jacobsen of the Naga Center. Gaining this knowledge of Thai Element Theory, understanding the elemental imbalances, helps Rae tailor a classes and bodywork treatment for each client’s unique elemental state.

Throughout all her practices, Rae encourages you to move towards a place of health, awareness, and growth in a safe and supportive environment so you can Feel Better!
